About the event
Join us for a hands-on Foraging Flowers Workshop, where you'll explore the beauty and abundance of local wildflowers. Guided by experienced forager and herbalist, Monica Rivera, you'll learn how to identify edible and medicinal blooms, discover ethical foraging practices, and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
During this immersive experience, we’ll:
Identify and Harvest: Explore nearby meadows and woodlands, identifying seasonal wildflowers.
Discover Uses and Benefits: Learn how these flowers have been traditionally used for teas, syrups, salads, marmalades, and herbal remedies. Discover the nutritional and healing properties that make them so special.
Practice sustainable foraging: Learn sustainable harvesting techniques to honor the land.
Whether you’re a nature lover, herbal enthusiast, or simply curious about the plants around you, this workshop will deepen your connection to the earth and its gifts.
